How do I modify an existing account in Microsoft Outlook Express? Can't Post

  1. Open Outlook Express.
  2. Select Tools/Accounts (or Tools/Services).
  3. Click on the Mail tab, highlight your account and click on the Properties button.
  4. Click on the Servers tab.
  5. In the Server Information section, change the incoming and outgoing mail servers to: mail.greatmail.com
  6. In the Incoming Mail Server section, specify the Account Name as your email address, ie yname@yourdomain.com. Enter your account password in the password field.
  7. In the Outgoing Mail Server section, select the checkbox My server requires authentication.
  8. Click on the Apply button.
  9. Click on the Advanced tab.
  10. In the Server Port Numbers section, set the Outgoing mail SMTP port to 25.
  11. Click on the Apply button and then click OK.
  12. Your Outlook Express account should now be configured to send and receive messages.
